In times when British ruled in
India, Englishmen used to be clean shaven as per the grooming trends of those
times. But Indian Kings, soldiers and commoners had stylish moustaches, not
only that gave Indian men undivided attention but also reaffirmed their
virility and valor. Englishmen who often compared themselves with Indians, had
no choice but to copy Indians of their varied moustache styles.
Indian kings, soldiers had more
bushy and thick hairs and often rolled up, nicely coiled or arranged on sides
but it was difficult for Englishmen to develop that kind of grooming habits, so
they developed a learner, crisper version of it called them English’ Moustache
style.
